WhatsApp New tips and tricks

How to share a WhatsApp screen

Beginning in August 2023, WhatsApp will allow you to share your screen during a video conversation, similar to how you can do with Zoom and Google Meet. On your Android or iPhone, adhere to these procedures to screen share on WhatsApp: Activate WhatsApp > Invite a contact into a video call > Tap the "screen-sharing" symbol (a phone with an arrow on it) at the bottom of the screen. Verify your desire to share your screen > When you want to end your screen-share, tap on Stop Sharing.

Send a contact your location

You can share a contact or document, send photographs and videos to contacts, and send your location with WhatsApp. If you select to Share Live Location, your contact will be able to view your Live Location for the time period you specify and track you, which is really helpful if you're meeting a friend somewhere. The duration times might range from 15 to 1 to 8 hours.

Peruse each of your chats.

You might have received someone's address or remember discussing a particular show or movie, but you don't want to search through all of your messages to try to discover what you're looking for. If you drag down, a search bar appears at the top of each of your chats on iOS. There is a search symbol on Android. You can enter anything into the search field, from the first few letters of a town name to a single term, and all the chats that contain that word will show up below as individual messages. You will also get a selection of choices when you hit the Search box, ranging from Photos to Audio, allowing you to minimize  the search results.

Search a specific chat

It is also possible to search just one particular chat rather than all of your chats. Perhaps you discussed a certain meeting location, or they supplied you their other phone number or address, for example. iOS: Chats > Particular chat At the top, click "Contact Us." In the search field that appears at the top of that particular chat, type your query. Chats > Specific chat > Android Enter a term in the search box that appears at the top of that particular chat by selecting the top right menu option, "Search."
